In March 2026 a new Swedish-Norwegian collaboration will see the light of day when Andre Kassen (NO) join forces with Johan Bj\u00f6rklund (SE), Ebba Westerberg (SE) and Thomas Markusson (SE) for a first gig at Nya Perspektiv (Slottsgatan 19) in V\u00e4ster\u00e5s, Sweden. 28 March 19.00<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bj\u00f6rklund\/Kassen Brainworks is a new Norwegian-Swedish collaboration initiated by Johan Bj\u00f6rklund (SE) and Andr\u00e9 Kassen (NO). After crossing paths in different musical contexts for more than ten years, they have now joined forces in this innovative band together with Thomas Markusson (SE) and Ebba Westerberg (SE).

The music is bold, fresh and free \u2013 without chord instruments, built on rhythmic structures that move between the complex and the open. The group explores the borderland between composed and improvised in a unique sound where each member contributes original music.
The result is something both beautiful, powerful and surprising \u2013 a playful and thought-provoking musical encounter.
